Yet another photo from our trip to the shore…

Neve's Ready To Jump In

Neve's Ready To Jump In

Today’s model is Dynamite Girls Chill Factor Neve. She is wearing a swimsuit that I got in a bag full of Barbie fashions at the flea market. The suit has no tag, but I’m pretty sure it was made by Mattel. She’s also got a Barbie swim ring float thing. Her photo was taken at Point Pleasant beach in New Jersey under brightly overcast skies.

It’s easy to look on the bright side when the sun is shining. It’s a bit harder when it’s raining. And it’s been raining since Friday. But am I blue? No. How can I be? The world outside my window is practically glowing green with all the new growth the storms have spawned. My flowers are bursting with buds. If the rain ever ends (and it won’t until the end of the week according to the weather channel) I’ll be able to transfer my greenhouse seedlings into the gardens. Even though we’ve got stormy skies now – I can see ahead to the days of bright sunshine. Having a pair of super hero galoshes also helps bring a smile while I wait for the skies to clear – yes, I really do own a pair of pink rubber boots with Bat Girl, Wonder Woman and Super Girl on them and I wear them out in the snow and rain. 🙂

Aria Among The Azaleas

Aria Among The Azaleas

Today’s model is Dynamite Girls Chill Factor Aria. She is wearing Fashion Fever Barbie’s top, Barbie capris,  Fashionisatas Barbie’s shoes, Butterfly Art Barbie’s bracelet and the necklace from Peace & Love 70’s Barbie with the pendant removed (I added a wire closure to turn it into a double strand necklace). Her photo was taken yesterday in my aunt’s front garden. Proof that the dark, rainy days bring beautiful things.

Sometimes it’s a doll’s perfect pout that totally makes her awesome in my eyes. I had a Kissing Barbie as a kid…there were little “kiss” prints everywhere (she came with a lipstick inkpad and a button on her back so she could leave smooches all over the place). I guess the influence started way back then.

Neve in the Sunshine

Neve in the Sunshine

See? Another perfect little pout! Today’s model is Dynamite Girls Chill Factor Neve. I’ve washed, conditioned and brushed out her hair. She is wearing a Barbie dress from a recent Sassy Fashionisatas fashion pack, Tricks of the Trade Eugenia’s earrings (I had to pierce Neve’s ears as she did not arrive with earrings), a Barbie watch, a Barbie bracelet and (though you can’t see them) Barbie Basics black heels. Her photo was taken in our front yard, under sunny skies, in the afternoon. I faced her away from the sun because I liked the way the backlighting showed off her beautiful hair color.

It was a beautiful, if cold, weekend. We never did get those snow flurries that the weatherman had called for, though there was a mini snow squall a few towns over yesterday. Well, since it’s November, I don’t think we’ll have to wait too long. And we’ll enjoy the chilly winds and brilliant sunshine while they are here. Anyway, the sunshine was perfect lighting for the photo shoot today.

Amelie at the Water Gap Trolley Stop

Amelie at the Water Gap Trolley Stop

YeYe Amelie is wearing the fashion from Dynamite Girls Chill Factor Neve and (though you can’t see them) Pure Evil Misaki’s boots. Amelie’s photo was taken in the afternoon at the Delaware Water Gap Trolley stop. This picture occured in the shade, but I upped the exposure to keep it bright.

We had a pretty cold, cloudy day today. And tomorrow they are predicting that we’ll get our very first snowflakes of the season. No real accumulation is expected, just a trace to cover the ground. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited. I love it when it snows! But back to today…I dressed up a new dollie and for a brief time, the sun popped out and lit up the dark clouds rolling by. And I was lucky enough to catch it in pictures. 🙂

Chill Factor Misaki

Chill Factor Misaki

The new YeYe Misaki came in the mail today. Isn’t she a beauty? I loved her the second I saw her. But first thing out of the box, I washed the product out of her hair and brushed it out to air dry. And though I like her original fashion, I wanted to try Dynamite Girls Chill Factor Aria’s outfit on her. Except for the too tiny shoes, it’s perfect. But that’s okay, because her original shoes match this outfit just fine. Her photo was taken in my back yard in the late afternoon during a sunny break in the clouds. I just love the way it came out. And I hope you enjoy it, too.

Pure Evil is wearing an Audrey Hepburn Barbie dress, Modern Circle Barbie’s chiffon wrap as a scarf in her hair, Mary Kate and Ashley Barbie shoes, Mattel bracelets and a necklace I got at a doll show. Lady Like is wearing a Barbie Snow White dress and Winx dolls shoes. Neve is wearing a Barbie basketball uniform and Barbie socks & sneakers. Crazy Girl is wearing a Barbie Wonder Woman costume. Lastly, Amelie is wearing Witchy Witch Misaki’s dress and stockings, Barbie’s pointed hat and Fashion Royalty boots. The trick or treat bags were made by me out of a grocery bag, pipe cleaners, tape and stickers. The Halloween treat buckets were flea market finds.

The photo shoot was set up outdoors in my side yard with two hay bales behind them (to lean against – it was a windy day). It was taken in the early evening under overcast skies with the aid of the camera’s flash to brighten the scene.

Today hubby and I took a nice long ride out and about to see the leaves changing color. It’s amazing to behold all the trees wearing red, orange and gold. We stopped at a few different places to walk, look around and take pictures. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer day.

Aria Chillin' On A Perfect Fall Day

Aria Chillin' On A Perfect Fall Day

The new Dynamite Girls Chill Factor Aria is today’s model. She is wearing a sweater that I got at the mall a few years ago in a women’s store (I can’t remember the name – the sweater was sold as a Christmas ornament on a little hanger), a My Scene Barbie skirt, Masterpiece Theatre Giselle’s tights and Checking Out Colette’s boots. Aria is reclining on some tree roots on the bank of McMichael’s creek in town with the trees in full autumn splendor in the background.
