I’m still slowly wading through a backlog of photos. Here’s another from Thanksgiving …

Phyzzlpyph's New Outfit

Phyzzlpyph's New Outfit

Today’s model is Pipos Ringo. She is wearing a crocheted onesie that I found at a doll show. Though made for another doll, it is a perfect fit. Her photo was taken on the back deck at my aunt & uncle’s house in the last of the evening sunshine.

LOL, can you guess where we were today?

Big Winner Phyzzlpyph

Big Winner Phyzzlpyph

Today’s model is a Pipos Ringo Junior Pi anthro cat ball-jointed doll. And her name is Phyzzlpyph, Pyph for short. She is wearing a Barbie tu-tu skirt and holding a chip from the casino where we were playing. (Yes, we won some money. Yay!) The background is a piece of scrapbook paper. Her photo was taken in our living room, lit with two desk lamps and the camera’s flash.

Some days, the sun comes out and everything feels so fine. Worries melt away. The smell of flowers fills the air. Soft breezes carry melodious birdsong. Ahhhhh. Breathe it in. Feel the harmony surrounding you, flowing through you. Peace and tranquility abound.

Pretty In Pink Phyzzlpyph

Pretty In Pink Phyzzlpyph

Today’s model is a ball-jointed anthro cat doll, a Pipos Ringo. Her name is Phyzzlpyph. She’s wearing a dress that I got in a lot of older doll clothes at the flea market last summer. I’ve no idea what brand it is, but it fits her wonderfully. Pyph’s photo was taken in our front garden by the new primroses I planted this weekend. Though it was overcast all morning, this afternoon the sun began breaking through the clouds. Just in time for dollie photos. Yay.

Sometimes you just need something sweet. I think this’ll do it and then some.

Nothing's Sweeter Than A Kitten

Nothing's Sweeter Than A Kitten

Today’s model is Phyzzlpyph – a Pipos Ringo anthro ball jointed doll. She’s wearing the complete fashion (minus the bloomers) from Madame Alexander’s “Be My Teddy Bear” Wendy. It’s a tad big, but I think it’s still cute. Her photo was taken indoors (because it is still snowing) in my living room. The background is a sheet of scrapbook paper and the scene is lit with two desk lamps.

So, nothing says Christmas like kitties. LOL. Okay, if you are a cat lover. My husband and I share our home with two felines: a fourteen year old boy cat named Rabbitt (an abbreviated tail is the reason for his name) and an almost two year old girl named Bella. Rabbitt is a big boy with black and  gray stripey markings on a white background. Bell is a fantastically marked Siamese and tortoise shell mix. They are the joy of our lives and much of the household activity revolves around them. They get turkey on Thanksgiving and presents at Christmas time. Our home just wouldn’t be the same without them.

Phyzzlpyph & Horatio in front of the Christmas Tree

Today’s models are both ball-jointed anthro cat dolls from Pipos. Horatio is the Baha model and Phyzzlpyph is the Ringo model. Pyph is wearing a Bratz dress and a Barbie Santa hat. Horatio is wearing woven leggings with suspenders that I bought a few years ago at Target (a Christmas ornament), ooak elf shoes I found at a doll show and a hat that I made for him myself. Their packages are Christmas decorations. The tree was found at A.C.Moore. The floor of their home is a velvet and satin holiday placemat. The wall is foam core with holiday scrapbook paper pinned to it. I used two lamps to light the scene and also turned on the camera’s flash.

I woke up today with the beginnings of a nasty winter cold working on me. With hopes of heading off, I dutifully drank tea with honey and tried to take it easy. Yeah, no. It’s a good one. I should have expected it – my Mom was fighting a cold on Thanksgiving. LOL, I’m going to have to call her and tell her she makes me sick. Tee-hee! Anyway, since I am feeling under the weather (with no one to fuss over me properly) I kept today’s photo simple.

Even when I’m sick, I can not resist smiling whenever I see little Phyzzlpyph. Pyph is a tiny ball-jointed anthro cat doll made by Pipos. Her mold is sold under the name “Ringo”. She has the original  Pipos factory face-up (facial painting). She’s not wearing any clothes (oh, the horror!) but she is standing in an Alice In Wonderland cream pitcher, ready to spring out and pounce on any unwitting passers-by. The background is a piece of poster board. The scene was lit with two lamps. The photo was taken indoors since it was a very rainy day – not a very nice day for kitties or sick girls to be traipsing about.

Since Kitten Is In The Cream Pitcher, I’ll Just Take My Tea With Honey, Please.

Today is the last day of summer. It was beautiful – sunny and warm and perfect. At the end of the day, thunderstorms rolled in – dark and powerful. We got some much needed rain and the rumbles and flashes were wild. All in all, a perfectly typical summer day and an excellent note to end on.

Horatio and Phyzzlpyph on a Perfect Summer Day

Today’s little dollie stars are Horatio, a Pipos Baha and Phyzzlpyph, a Pipos Ringo. Both are anthro ball jointed cat dolls. Horatio is wearing silkstone Ken’s undershorts and Phyzzlpyph is wearing a Bratz dress. There are too many littles to list their origins. A few pieces of note: the hammock is a wire fruit basket from TJ Maxx, the rubbermaid totes are from an office supply store and the Barbie dream house is a Christmas ornament. The kitties are posed in my side yard in the afternoon before the storms moved in.

So today was a rainy, gray day. And cold, too. It was a good day to stay indoors. No outdoor photos for me and my dollies. As you probably know by now, I’m not a big fan of taking photos indoors. It’s just that natural light is so pretty and I like to play outside, too. I have no special lighting set up for indoor shoots, so it’s simply lit by the camera’s flash. Sometimes the flash can be harsh, wash things out and/or produce weird colors. I feel like I have to work four times as hard to get half as many decent photos when I use the camera’s flash indoors. Maybe I’ll set up some special lighting one of these days. I know I could use it, and then I would look forward to taking indoor pictures as much as the ones I take outside.

Phyzzlpyph - Cozy At Home

Phyzzlpyph - Cozy At Home

Here’s my little kitty girl, Phyzzlpyph. She’s a Pipos Ringo ball-jointed anthro cat doll. Her home is an eclectic mix: a piece of stick-on vinyl tile for the floor, scrapbook pages for wallpapered walls, a doll house miniature side table, cuckoo clock and fireplace (the wood in the fireplace is just bits of wood from outdoors), a vintage footed salt cellar acting as a bowl on the side table, a gaily painted rocking chair and rabbit figurines from the flea market and an Uno card game and magic eight ball from a Barbie doll. Pyph is wearing a nightgown from the Moxie girls and Barbie’s fuzzy slippers. The teacup and saucer are Rement and the spoon came in a Barbie accessories pack. I set up the scene in my living room and one of the cats curiously followed me around as I took pictures.

Not every photo is of award winning quality. But that doesn’t mean they are any less special. Some of my favorite photos are badly composed, blurry or poorly lit. I look through old photo albums (back when cameras used film and flashcubes) and I’m so glad that the technology of the past didn’t have the option to delete before printing. Otherwise I’d be missing out on so many fun snapshots. Sometimes it’s the subjects in the photos and the feeling of the moment that matter most.

My Cats, Rabbitt & Bella with my doll, Phyzzlpyph

My Cats, Rabbitt & Bella with my doll, Phyzzlpyph

I’m sure this snapshot isn’t going to win any prizes, LOL. But when I saw Rabbitt and Bella snoozing on the bed, I thought it would be fun to add my little cat doll to the scene and grab a picture. The model is a Pipos Ringo ball jointed doll named Phyzzlpyph. I dressed her up in pjs originally worn by a Moxie Girlz Lexa Jammaz doll. Then I snuggled Pyph up to Bella and Rabbitt and took a few quick snaps with the flash on. Not the most well composed, fantastically lit, razor focused shot I’ve ever taken, but I love it anyway. Look how curious my little kits are. “Who is this wee interloper?” They seem to be wondering. Tee-hee! 🙂

Sometimes I live vicariously though my dollies. I’ve never been a fan of motorcycles or ATVs, but I’ve got enough vehicles for them that I could start a dealership. LOL.

Phyzzlpyph takes her ATV off road

Little Phyzzlpyph is a Pipos Ringo ball-jointed doll. She’s driving an ATV that I picked up at the flea market for her. She’s wearing Barbie goggles and a Moxie Girlz top (fits like a dress on her though). She’s taking her ride off road and getting away from it all. 🙂 I took her photo in the late evening, under cloudy skies, on the side of my driveway.
