A roof has been added to the ice house. Yay! There was trepidation for fear of a collapse, but it was unfounded. Some wet snow was used to seal the joins, and it turned out surprisingly solid. Woo-hoo! Onto the photos…

Snuggle Buddies Cruz & Poppy

Today’s models are Poppy (…yeah, you saw her yesterday…but today she’s brought a friend) and London Calling Cruz from the Dynamite Girls collection. Cruz is wearing his original trousers, a scarf that I crocheted for him, turtleneck and boots from My Generation Chip Farnsworth III and a Color Infusion: Style Lab Fashion Experiment 5 jacket. Their photo was taken inside the newly renovated Ice House in our front yard on the last day of January.

Come Freeze With Me

Today’s model is the hair workshop Poppy Parker doll from the Tropicalia convention. She is wearing a hat and scarf crocheted by me, a shirt from a Ken fashion pack, a Fashion Fever tunic top (all you see in the photos is the polka-dot ruffled bottom of it), Dynamite Girls: Chill Factor Aria’s skirt, Style Mantra Eden’s tights and a pair of Only Hearts Club doll’s sneakers. Her photo was taken in our front yard within the ice walls that were constructed during our deep freeze of a winter.

We’re well into crunch time – the big day fast approaches. Soon it will be Christmas! I’ve been baking and decorating cookies, the tree has been trimmed and some of the presents are wrapped. I’ve been a busy little elf. We had a bit of snow, too. So, it truly is looking a lot like Christmas in these parts. Amid the hustle and bustle, I even found time to grab a few holiday dollie photos.

Season's Greetings!

Season’s Greetings!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Today’s model is Fame by Frame Imogen from the Tropicalia convention. She is wearing an elf hat crocheted by me, a sweater (sold as a tree ornament) from Christopher & Banks, LIV dolls Moolight Dance Daniela’s dress, Barbie stockings, boots from the 2008 “The Heist” convention Life of the Party fashion, Fashion Royalty earrings and bracelets and rings that are actually craft store jump rings from the jewelry department. I also created the wreath myself. It’s fashioned out of green wired holiday ribbon from Walmart and trimmed with a bow from a spool of ribbon found at Michaels in the dollar bin. Imogen’s photos were taken a couple of day’s ago in our yard – the first two in the front yard (in a snow pile that I carved a little path in – and, yes, she is standing on her own…with a little help from the snow. LOL) and the last image was taken in our backyard.

We Wish You A Merry Christmas

And A Happy New Year!

Yeah…I finally got around to editing some more of the photos from our jaunt to Point Pleasant.

Today’s model is Hot Dots Poppy Parker from last year’s Tropicalia convention. She is wearing Bonjour Misaki’s sandals, a butterfly sundress from a Barbie fashion pack and a long sleeved top from one of the Best Models On Location Barbie giftsets. Her photo was taken on the boardwalk rail overlooking the ocean and beach.

Winter has finally released us from her icy grip. And in it’s wake, flowers and sunshine replace her snowy visage. I couldn’t be happier.

Spring Fling Poppy

Spring Fling Poppy

Today’s model is Poppy Parker from the Tropicalia convention. She is wearing a Barbie (Fashion Avenue? Fashion Fever? not sure) tank top, shirt included in the Most Sophisticated: Poppy Parker as Sabrina giftset, Color Infusion Rebel Spirit Amelie’s shorts and Endless Summer Poppy’s sneakers. Her necklace was made from some craft chain I found at Walmart, earrings are ooak creations made by me. Poppy’s photo was taken at the Skylands Manor Botanical Gardens in New Jersey a few weeks ago.

Is there anything better than wearing your boyfriend’s jacket? It’s like wearing a hug from him all day long. 🙂

Today’s model is Hot Dots Poppy Parker from the 2012 Tropicalia convention. She is wearing Checking Out Francisco’s jacket, Ask Any Girl Poppy’s gloves, Twist & Shout Darla Daley’s sweater & skirt set, Mod Redux Barbie’s tights and Dreadfully Cute Misaki’s boots (with the ankle chains removed). Her photo was taken a few weeks ago in our yard.

Someone new has arrived, and I am smitten. It started with the Fashion Royalty convention a little over a week ago. I wasn’t able to attend, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t scoping out the ‘net for photos and news of new dolls. There were a ton of dolls revealed, total eye candy – lots of pretty lads and lasses. However, only one grabbed my attention so thoroughly that I hunted her down on the secondary market. Many monies later, she winged her way home to me. When I opened the box…ah, pure wonderfulness! Not a drop of regret for the dollars I dumped on her. Nope, not one bit. Dollies are way better than money anyway…and this one…well, she’s just special. 🙂

Sweet & Lovely - Definitely A Keeper

Sweet & Lovely – Definitely A Keeper

Today’s model is Poppy Parker from the Fashion Royalty/Integrity Toys Tropicalia convention 2012. She was sold nude to accompany the how-to hands on hair workshop that took place there. I received her new, never removed from box. As soon as she got here, I washed and brushed out her hair. Next, she got dressed up. Poppy is wearing Dynamite Girls: Back To Brooklyn Jasper’s dress, Miami Vice Kyori’s necklace, a bracelet that’s actually a jewelry charm from the craft store and shoes borrowed from Most Sophisticated Poppy Parker as Sabrina. Her photos were taken in our yard in the early evening sunlight. I took pictures in a few different locations, as the sun’s descending rays were constantly shifting – lighting the scene one moment and gone the next. So be sure to check out my Flickr link if you want to see more.
