Hey, ya’ll. My name is Lisa and I live in the woods of Pennsylvania. I’ve loved dolls all my life and in my adult years I became a collector. Some favorites are Fashion Royalty, Barbie, BJDs and Nippon Misakis. I’m not a collector in the traditional sense, most of my dolls are removed from the box, restyled and/or redressed. Posing and photographing them is a fun pastime and I enjoy posting my images on the web for your viewing pleasure.
Hi Lisa…
Love your Blog and all the updates!
Keep ’em coming!
…and WOW…what a Misaki brood you have there!
Love it!
🙂
Hope to see you at Rothman in less than 2 weeks!
xo
Vin
Thanks, Vin. 🙂
Yes, I will be at the doll show. I’ll make sure to find ya and say,”Hi!”.
Hi Lisa, you have a great blog – very serene. I LOVE your monogram’s sweater pattern too.
I don’t have any mono’s yet, but my first one will be coming in April? May? Incandescent, so not sure when. You are most welcome to have whatever those ribbons are lol. Seeing as I don’t have any yet, not quite sure what they are.
Cheers, Angie (BCCan Designs)
Thanks, Angie 🙂

Wow! I’m 11 and had stopped playing with dolls, but your blog made me go dig them out of the box!
Thanks, Neve. I’m over forty and still enjoy my dolls. When I was a kid, I played with dolls. Now that I’m an adult, I collect dolls. There’s no difference, really. Except that now I know how to sew for them, crochet scarves for them and take their photos. It’s a fun hobby that you’re never too old for. 🙂
Thanks for replying Lisa! I was wondering if you could give some advice about getting dolls heads on and off. I recently bought a barbie basics doll (on a model muse body) and want to put her head on a fashionista barbie, but dont want to damage the heads. Thanks,
Neve
Basically, the key to doll head removal is heat and patience. Some use a heating pad (doll wrapped in a thin white towel), others use very hot water (doll inside a big freezer ziploc baggie to keep it dry) to warm up the heads. The heads need to be warmed up to make them pliable so they don’t rip or crack during the removal process. Fashionistas & Model Muse Barbies both have prongs attached to the neck knob to keep children from pulling them off accidentally. So you have to be careful and work carefully around them when removing the heads. And always reattach the heads while they are warm, even if it means reheating them again. Here’s what it looks like once the head is removed: Hope this helps.
Thankyou sooo much Lisa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And have I mentioned how awsome I think your blog is?! 😀

Your photos are great. It’s so much fun to customize a doll to fit your dreams. Enjoy her – I think she’s a winner. 🙂
Thankyou!!!!
I just went through your entire blog, admiring at all your photos. Makes me want to get a BJD from iple house, and face up like a Fashion Royalty doll, and make her a model. I’ve bookmark this blog and will keep on looking at your photos. ^_^
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoy my blog. Everyone should have dollies, I say ‘Go For It’. Iplehouse has some amazing bjds.
Hi again Lisa,
I’ve just joined a photo bolg called Instagram, and some of my photos are on there. I’d be really happy if you could find some time to have a peek at them 😉 If you do, my username is nevar12. Thanks for everything!
Neve
PS. I tried to make some tights for my dolls, they didn’t really work! (They were WAY to skinny) I’m going to make some more soon though….
Hey Lisa!
Me again! Sorry to bother you, but I wondered if you knew any good websites I could buy some Poppy Parker dolls (used ones are fine)?
Thanks for all your help,
Neve.
Hey, cutie. Ebay’s a good place to grab Poppy dolls secondhand. They are listed under “Dolls” in the “Integrity Toys” category. But you have to watch, because they have a tendency to go up in value after release due to their limited edition sizes. Sometimes collectors list them for sale on the Doll Divas & Pink Parlor doll chat forums also. If you want to buy them new, they go up for presale before their release date. Marl & B, My Favorite Doll and the Doll Peddlar are all good sellers that have stores on the web. The main line is debuted around February or March, but there are others sprinkled in throughout the year. You’ve got great taste, Poppy Parker is one of my favorite dolls.
Hi Lisa:
You’re my Picture of the Day today!

Thank you, Shannon 🙂
Hi Lisa! One of my friends sent me over to your blog! LOVE your pics. You are so creative! I was looking at one pic and thought to myself, “Gosh, that looks like a Jersey boardwalk!” and lo and behold it was!!! I’m from Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) and presently live in NJ. Spend every summer visiting the Jersey shore! AND I love dolls! So we have a few things in common! I’ve been spotted on the Jersey shore with a doll in one hand and a camera in the other. Maybe we’ll run into each other? LOL
Thanks, Laurie 🙂
LOL, I’m originally from northern NJ, and now live in the Poconos. Since we share the same stomping grounds, it’s only a matter of time before we run into each other. I’ll be looking forward to bumping into you during my travels.
