I love to shoot doll photos outside. A sunny day is nice, but an overcast one is even better. I like the way the light bounces around, removing harsh shadows. The only problem with overcast days is that sometimes they’re too dark or even rainy. But if you’re lucky, you get enough light and can work between the raindrops.
Vanessa is not a very popular girl at my house. I only have two of this Fashion Royalty character. So, today Cruise Control Vanessa gets a much deserved chance to shine in the spotlight. Her hair’s been washed free of product and combed out. She is wearing the dress from the FR Wrapped In Decadence fashion. The earrings and necklace belong to Nu Face Perk Colette. The bracelet is either Barbie or Bratz, not sure which. The background is a tree in my front yard covered in moss and lichens.
Softly The Light Illuminates Her Beauty, Too Timid To Shine Too Brightly.
I’m new to this-what do you use to wash a doll’s hair?
I wash the hair with a liquid antibacterial hand soap and lukewarm water, rinse well, blot dry with a towel and brush it out with a fine-toothed comb. Avoid hot water unless you want to relax the curls. And use care not to squash the applied eyelashes while washing the hair. That’s all there is to it. 🙂
