Today’s model is Poppy Parker as Corie Bratter from the Barefoot In The Park: The Bratter Lovers giftset (***edited to correct my mistake*** – This is the doll from the Barefoot in the Park: Poppy Parker as Corie Bratter giftset – not The Bratter Lovers giftset, my memory is quite obviously not what it once was, sorry 😉). Poppy is wearing the dress from Barbie: The Look Collection – Party Perfect, The Happening Poppy’s fishnet tights and shoes, a Fashion Royalty bracelet and earrings and a ring from the jewelry section at the craft store (a fancy, solid jump ring). Her photos were taken in our yard on a nice day in early May.

Rollin’ On

Today’s model is Sweet Poodle Momoko. I bought her secondhand from a sweet friend a while ago (Thanks, Dal!) and have finally gotten around to showing her off. She is wearing a top from Kmart’s “Barbie & Me” Barbie doll, striped capris from a Barbie fashion pack, Hard Rock Cafe Barbie’s wrist band, random Barbie bracelets, roller skates from a recent Barbie Fashion multi-pack and sunglasses of unknown origin (either My Scene, LIV, Moxie girls or Bratz – LOL, who knows?). Her photo was taken on July 25th at my Mom’s house in the afternoon sunshine. (Took me long enough to get around to uploading, huh? Tee, hee!) 🙂

Today’s model is Harley Davidson Ken. He is wearing shorts and sandals from a carded Ken fashion.  And he’s sitting on a Barbie lifeguard chair that I got at the flea market. The tube is Barbie’s, too – also from the flea market. The surfboard is Bratz, I think. He also has a water bottle from one of the recent Fashionistas Barbie fashion packs, a pair of Barbie sunglasses and a towel borrowed from silkstone Spa Getaway Barbie. His photo was taken in the afternoon, near the ocean’s edge on Point Pleasant beach, under brightly overcast skies.

Turtle Beach

We’ve been poking about locally and found another good spot for doll photos.

Vacation Skipper

We hit a little spot called Turtle Beach in New Jersey for doll photos today. We didn’t see any turtles (just a tiny frog – check out my Flickr link if you wanna see him) and the “beach” is mostly mud. But it did lend itself to some nice pictures. The model is a frankendolly: a new Target exclusive Skipper head on a Barbie Fashionistas body. Skipper is wearing a bathing suit from a My Scene or Fashion Fever Barbie (can’t remember which) fashion pack and My Scene shorts. The photo was taken in the afternoon under brightly overcast skies.

Today’s model is a frankendollie: a Bratz Yasmin head on a Barbie Fashionisatas body. She is wearing Style Mantra Eden’s shirt, Barbie capris, My Scene sneakers, Hourglass Kesenia’s earrings, Talking Drama Adele’s bracelet, a few Bratz bracelets, a Moxie Teenz bracelet and a dollar store hair clip. Her photo was taken at the last “scenic overlook” off of route 80 in NJ before the Delaware Water Gap going into PA. The clouds had been pretty thick all day with bouts of fog and tiny peeks of sun, the sunset was a mix of rain and sun…weird weather.

Changing Weather

We had storms and hail this morning. Not a fave – especially since I had a couple of dolls dressed for sunny weather all ready for photos. The clouds and gray have been hanging around longer than I expected. So I get another dollie all ready for moody, gray day pictures…and the sun peeks out as I step outside. Really. I can’t make this stuff up.

It Was On Sale

LOL, I’m always looking for my doll stuff to go on sale. Especially if it’s a doll who’s outfit is my main interest. In a perfect world, I’d be able to buy each piece of clothing, nude dolls, shoes or a belt separately. But it’s not. So a sale is the next best thing. Of course, once I get it home, who’s to say I won’t fall for the doll as well? 😉
