Sometimes it’s one little piece of doll clothing that inspires a photo shoot.

Such is the case this time…

…The Secret Of The Fox…

Today’s model is Sweet In Switzerland Poppy Parker. She is wearing the turtleneck from one of the Barefoot in the Park giftsets, an infinity scarf crocheted by me, the skirt from Moxie girls Ida (today’s photo inspiration), her original tights,  Lotta Danger Poppy Parker’s gloved hands, Outsider Misaki’s boots and a faux fur stole from Integrity Toys. Her photo was taken last week at my Mom’s house.

Recently, our area has participated in a couple of beautification events: Street Art Project I & II, where artists filled empty walls in town with fantastic art. Both Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg in northeast Pennsylvania are now alive with vibrant images that photographers find irresistible.

I took several dolls with me yesterday to grab some pictures.

So, my brother tagged me for the ice bucket challenge.

Today’s model is In the Air Poppy Parker from the Jet Set convention. She’s wearing an older Barbie swimsuit (maybe from the early nineties?). I’m pretty sure the bucket is from Mattel, but I’m not positive since I scored it at a flea market. The bench is a fabulous flea market find as well. Poppy’s photo was taken today in our front yard.

The beach is fun, but the boardwalk is not to be missed. It’s half the fun during a day down the shore.

Same doll, same place, a change of clothes…

There are few things I enjoy more than draggin’ a dollie and a camera down to the beach. Since hubby was on vacation a couple of weeks ago, you just knew it was gonna happen. Now I’ve got a smile as bright as the summer sun. Here are some of the results from our sand and surf shoot…

Today’s model is a Look of Love Poppy Parker doll that has been rerooted and had her lips repainted. She’s one of my favorites and such a summer ‘go to’ gal. She was made for frolicking about in sand and surf. Her wardrobe consists of: Barbie sunglasses from the early nineties, a Barbie net shirt over a Skipper swimsuit top, shorts from a Barbie fashion pack, handmade swim bottoms found at a doll show and Summer Crush Misaki’s sandals. Her props are a chair from the Arco brand Backyard Pool Set, a Barbie boom box and Promenade Amelie’s beach bag. Poppy’s photos were taken on an overcast day in early July at the beach in Point Pleasant, New Jersey.

I’m always amazed by how long it takes me to get back here and post. Life sure does fly by. Here’s a taste of springtime …before it melts into summer. LOL

Today’s model is Poppy Parker as Corie Bratter from the Barefoot In The Park: The Bratter Lovers giftset (***edited to correct my mistake*** – This is the doll from the Barefoot in the Park: Poppy Parker as Corie Bratter giftset – not The Bratter Lovers giftset, my memory is quite obviously not what it once was, sorry 😉). Poppy is wearing the dress from Barbie: The Look Collection – Party Perfect, The Happening Poppy’s fishnet tights and shoes, a Fashion Royalty bracelet and earrings and a ring from the jewelry section at the craft store (a fancy, solid jump ring). Her photos were taken in our yard on a nice day in early May.

Ugh…I have no excuse for not getting around to the lingering remains of winter doll photos…except that there are just so many.

So, even though it is technically spring, I’m still in winter mode. And I probably will be for a while. What can I say? I still have more winter wonder to share…

The Gang At The Snow Caves

The Gang At The Snow Caves

You’ve already met the models, so see previous posts for the details. But the location is new. After all the shoveling, the snow piles were pretty substantial. Given such an opportunity, I couldn’t resist digging out a cavern and steps for the dolls. When the afternoon sun lit it up, a mess of dolls came out to play. The lighting didn’t last long, but it was enough to grab a few pictures. Woo- hoo!

Since wintertime isn’t going anywhere soon, it’s best to just embrace it. Bundle up and take a walk. Admire the sun shining on all that snow. Remember, eventually spring will steal it all away.

Poppy takes a walk up and down our street.

A good dose of sunshine makes it all look postcard perfect.

Today’s model is one I used a few posts back, Foto Fab Poppy. Her photos were taken on the street in front of our house, on a sunny day in early February. Yeah, I’m about a month or so behind – just trying to catch up. 🙂

A roof has been added to the ice house. Yay! There was trepidation for fear of a collapse, but it was unfounded. Some wet snow was used to seal the joins, and it turned out surprisingly solid. Woo-hoo! Onto the photos…

Snuggle Buddies Cruz & Poppy

Today’s models are Poppy (…yeah, you saw her yesterday…but today she’s brought a friend) and London Calling Cruz from the Dynamite Girls collection. Cruz is wearing his original trousers, a scarf that I crocheted for him, turtleneck and boots from My Generation Chip Farnsworth III and a Color Infusion: Style Lab Fashion Experiment 5 jacket. Their photo was taken inside the newly renovated Ice House in our front yard on the last day of January.

Come Freeze With Me

Today’s model is the hair workshop Poppy Parker doll from the Tropicalia convention. She is wearing a hat and scarf crocheted by me, a shirt from a Ken fashion pack, a Fashion Fever tunic top (all you see in the photos is the polka-dot ruffled bottom of it), Dynamite Girls: Chill Factor Aria’s skirt, Style Mantra Eden’s tights and a pair of Only Hearts Club doll’s sneakers. Her photo was taken in our front yard within the ice walls that were constructed during our deep freeze of a winter.
